Born in 1982 in the Şenkaya district of Erzurum, our author graduated second in his class from Atatürk University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture in 2009. He then began his master’s studies at the Institute of Social Sciences. Throughout his career, he has taken part in numerous exhibitions, symposiums, workshops, and art events across Türkiye, earning several awards in various competitions. He currently continues his artistic work at his own studio, Doğan Heykel, in Erzurum. Over the years, he has created hundreds—if not thousands—of sculptures and artistic pieces that have reached audiences far beyond his hometown. He also offers free training and studio space to Fine Arts students, supporting their artistic development and helping them gain practical experience.
